People will be coming from around the country to attend the event in Laois.
Ukranian Independence Day is being celebrated in the midlands today.
The event in the Portlaoise Parish Centre takes place from 1pm until 4pm, and will commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1991.
It will see the raising of the state flag, as well as the performance of the country's national anthem.
A cooking workshop, a mini-zoo and aqua make-up will also be on offer.
