There is currently no real policing of accessible parking spaces in a Westmeath town.
That's according to Local Election Candidate with the Irish Freedom Party, Shane Lynam, who has suggested a part-time traffic warden in Moate.
He says the role would more so involve issuing warnings and reminding people about the purpose of these slots.
