A Laois student who was killed after being hit by a car last year has been awarded a posthumous degree.
Mountrath's Joe Drennan, who died after the collision in Limerick on October 13th, was in his fourth-year of studies at the University of Limerick at the time of his death.
He was today posthumously awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Digital Communications from the University.
UL is remembering him as a "talented and award winning young journalism student who is much missed by staff and his classmates."
