It will be introduced by Sinn Féin.
New legislation seeking to criminalise "sex-for-rent" offers will be brought before the Dáil next month.
The motion, which will be brought forward by Sinn Féin when TDs return to the chamber, follows an investigation into such arrangements by RTÉ Investigates.
It revealed a midlands couple were offering a spare room to a Ukrainian woman, in exchange for sex.
It's been almost two years since the sex for rent scandal was exposed.
Today, Sinn Féin has published new legislation which would criminalise a landlord seeking a sex-for-rent arrangement.
It would also criminalise the advertising of such offers under the Residential Tenancies Act.
A bill to address the issue collapsed at Oireachtas committee stage last year due to difficulties around its wording and some of the penalties.
The party will seek to introduce the Bill when the Dáil resumes in September.
