Emmett Street buildings in Mountmellick are set to demolished for a two-storey Lidl.
A Lidl store for a Laois town has hit with further delays as the local authority is requesting further clarification.
The application involves the demolition of eight buildings on Emmett Street in Mountmellick to build the two storey store, a car park with bike spaces and associated works.
Laois County Council's planning department says revision is needed on pedestrian and cycling links from O'Moore Street and Twomey Terrace.
They say it's in order to optimise active travel potential in the town, and that further consultation with the associated bodies in the council is needed.
February 2nd is the deadline set for the revised information.
