The bill which makes sure insurance companies can't discriminate against people who've had cancer.

A new Bill has been introduced to ensure insurance companies can't discriminate against people who've had cancer.

The 'Right to be forgotten Bill' relates specifically to mortgage protection insurance, but its likely to be expanded to other insurance products.

If passed if would mean that anyone who has survived cancer for more than 7 years cannot be penalised on their insurance policy.

Junior Finance Minister and Longford Westmeath TD Robert Troy says its a hugely important change.
