Plans for a massive housing development in the midlands have been submitted.
Akiyda Limited is seeking ten-year permission for the provision of 332 homes in the Ballykeeran and Cornamaddy area of Athlone.
The development will comprise of 172 two-storey houses, which will be a mix of three and four-bedroom units, and 160 apartments and duplexes.
The planning file also includes proposals for a new two-storey créche in the area.
A decision from Westmeath County Council is due by the 22nd of May.

160 apartment and duplex units are also included in the plans, consisting of 36 one-bed dwellings, 99 two-bed and 25 three-bed.
The blocks will range in height, from two-storey to four-storey.
The development will also consist of a new cark, including a number of electric vehicle charging points, if permission is granted.
