A major Westmeath road project may take anywhere between eight to ten years to be fully delivered - if there's no delays.
That's according to the chair of the Oireachtas Housing Committee, Micheal Carrigy, as the N4 Mullingar to Roosky enters the design and evaluation phase.
The Fine Gael rep for Longford-Westmeath says factors such as judicial reviews could potentially slow down further progress.
He says it's an active area the committee is looking into:
