The victim was rushed to hospital on the opening night.
Gardaí have made an arrest in relation to a serious assault at Electric Picnic last month.
A man in his 30s was left with serious injuries following the attack on the opening night of the festival in Stradbally.
The victim was taken to Tullamore Regional Hospital before being transferred to St. James' in Dublin.
Gardaí had issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone who may have had camera footage of the incident between 10pm and midnight on Friday 2nd September. The assault took place in the Today FM Sound Garden, during DJ Jamie Maguire's set.
Gardaí have today confirmed they've charged a man in relation to the incident and are bringing him before the courts.
