150 people have died on Irish roads so far this year
A man in his 50s has died after a crash involving a car and a truck in Tipperary.
It happened at around five past twelve this afternoon on the N62 at Whitefields in Templemore.
The driver of the car died and his body has since been removed to the Mortuary at University Hospital Limerick.
The driver of the truck, a man also aged in his 50s, was uninjured.
The road remains closed this evening and a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators will be conducted in the morning.
The man's death is the 150th death on Irish roads so far this year.
