There were price increases on homes across the midlands in 2023.
There's value to be found in midlands house prices if buyers look into local variance beyond county stats.
That's according to REA Seamus Browne of Portlaoise.
It comes as the Real Estate Alliance's latest report shows that the average three-bed semi-detached home in Laois cost an average of €260,000 in the final quarter of 2023 - that's an increase of 2% on the same period in 2022.
In Westmeath, it's up 10% on last year at €285,000, and in Offaly it's €220,000, which is 2% more than the final quarter of 2022.
REA expect the average price to rise 3% in the midlands in 2024.
