National, electric car sales are up over 40%.
Electric car sales soared by nearly a third in 2023.
New figures from the Society of Irish Motor Industry show over 650 new EVs were registered in the region last year, an increase of over 150 when compared to 2022.
Westmeath led the way in EV sales, at 274 - that's followed by 214 in Laois and 167 in Offaly.
Around the country, electric car registrations were up 45% year-on-year, with over 22,000 units sold.
