Midlands Forecaster Issues Severe Flood Warning

The region could still be hit by the storm, according to Ireland's Weather Channel.

The Midlands could still be facing severe flooding over the coming hours and days despite escaping the worst of Storm Chandra so far today.

That's according to Ireland's Weather Channel as heavy rainfall has led to serious floods across Dublin, Wicklow, and Wexford.

Heavy rain last night, preceeded by wet conditions in previous days, means a number of rivers across Laois, Offaly and Westmeath are expected to gradually swell.
