Cash was among the items stolen from vehicles in Laois yesterday.
Gardaí are investigating a string of thefts from cars in the midlands.
Officers say they suspect a link between the incidents, which occurred in the Hawthorn Foxburrow area of Portlaoise yesterday.
Four hub caps were stolen from a vehicle in the area between 4am and 11am yesterday morning.
€80 was taken from another car around that time, while a third vehicle was also rifled through, but Gardaí say nothing was reported stolen in that final incident.
They're appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the thefts to contact them at Portlaoise Garda Station.
Separately, officers in the town are investigating two burglaries.
The first occurred at a home in the Eden area of Portlaoise yesterday afternoon at around 1pm, after the back door was forced open - nothing has been reported stolen as of yet.
The second burglary happened in Lyndon Court shortly after midnight last night and again, nothing was taken.
Anyone with information in relation to any of these incidents is being asked to contact Gardaí in Portlaoise.
