The driver of the car is due to appear before the courts as a result.
A "dangerously defective" car has been seized by Gardaí in the midlands.
The vehicle was stopped by the Delvin Roads Policing Unit after it was spotted travelling with only one working headlight.
It was also found to have a "complete lack of power steering," upon further inspection by officers, which was one of a number of dangerous defects.
The car was seized and the driver is due to appear in court at a later date.
