Midlands Musicians Competing In Seán Ó Riada Bonn Óir Competition

The event takes place in Cork this evening.

Midlands musicians are set to compete in the Seán Ó Riada Bonn Óir Competition this evening. 

Offaly accordion player Ademar O'Connor will be performing, having previously won 23 All Ireland titles.

Meanwhile, Caomhan Mac Gabhann from Ballynacargy in Westmeath is a finalist in the concertina section. 

The Seán O Riada Bonn Óir Competition takes place this evening at the Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork at 7pm, with the winner to be awarded a bespoke gold medal created by Niamh Utsch, in addition to a €2,500 cash prize.
