Over a third of the Irish population is breaking the limit.
The number of people not staying within 10 kilometres of their home in the midlands is on the rise.
Westmeath has the highest level of compliance with covid travel restrictions, with 61 per cent of people staying within their local area in the week ending February 19th - however the rate did drop 2 per cent on the previous week.
There was a similar drop in Laois and Offaly, with 56 per cent of residents stayed within their 10 kilometres.
Every county recorded an increase, according to new CSO data.

Dublin continues to be the county with the highest percentage of people staying local, at 78 per cent.
The lowest was Roscommon, at just 50 per cent.
