Network upgrade works could cause residents to temporarily lose supply.
Residents in a midlands are being warned their water supply may be disrupted tomorrow.
Uisce Éireann are carrying out essential water network upgrade works on the Station Road in Portarlington, and residents may experience reduced water pressure and outages.
The works are being carried out from 10pm until 3am, and water supply may be affected for two to three hours afterwards as the network refills.
A stop and go system will also be in place along the Station Road, near Odlum's Mill, during this period.
Joe Carrol, Uisce Éireann says:
“Uisce Éireann is committed to enabling communities across Laois to thrive by continuously upgrading and developing their critical infrastructure to support sustainable growth and development.
These essential upgrade works are necessary to continue to provide Portarlington Town with clean, safe drinking water.
We understand that this type of work may be disruptive to the local community which is why our experienced water services crews will work throughout the night to complete the works and restore normal water supply as quickly as possible.”
