It's hoped people in the town will be more conscious of using active travel.
A transition from a "beautiful heritage town", to a "greener, sustainable" area.
That's the hope for Abbeyleix, as it seeks funding for professionals to draft a new Town Plan, with the focus of that being Active Travel.
Abbeyleix Tidy Towns says it has a serious traffic plan, and it wants to "take back the town centre for the people."
