Westmeath and Laois towns are on the 'worst places to live' list.
A Laois Councillor is coming out to bat for his local community.
Two midlands towns have been named in the top 10 worst places to live in Ireland.
The Irelandbeforeyoudie.com list details the least desirable places to live in this country and have included Moate in Westmeath and Portarlington in Laois.
Athy in Kildare and Granard in Longford have also been named in the list, with North Dublin being ranked as the worst.
