Minister Simon Coveney was responding to Athlone business owner, Colm Wright, who has seen energy costs rise by thousands.
He says they have put measures in place like the Temporary Energy Support Scheme, allows businesses experiencing an increase of 30% in energy costs, to claim back half of the increase.
