The future plans of a secondary school in the midlands have been put on hold, as the local authority needs more information before coming to a decision.
Westmeath County Council were due to make a decision today on a near 10,000 square metre two and three-storey extension to Moate Community School.
Plans for the development include the provision for a range of new classrooms, a Special Education Needs unit and a Multi-use games area.
It will also involve the demolition of a number of existing buildings at the site.
The local authority has requested further information before it will come to a decision on the plans.
