National Union of Journalists 'Alarmed' At Cuts By The Iconic Newspapers Group

The Tullamore Tribune is one of the local papers owned by the group.

The National Union of Journalists says it's 'alarmed' at a round of cuts by the Iconic Newspapers group.

Iconic owns a large number of local newspapers in Ireland, including the Leinster Leader, Midland Tribune and Tullamore Tribune.

Controlled by UK businessman Malcolm Denmark, it's proposed lay-offs, pay cuts and shortened weeks for remaining staff.
