Nearly 300 Homes Built In The Midlands This Year

That's a 66% increase on the same period last year.

66% more houses have been built in the midlands compared to this time last year.

Latest figures show that Westmeath has had the most homes constructed with 152, then Laois with 69, and Offaly at 62.

Nationally, more new homes have been built so far this year, compared to the whole of 2021. 

Latest figures show completions were up 62 per cent in the second quarter of the year, compared to the same period last year.

7-thousand-544 new homes were built between July and September, according to the CSO.

2,445 new apartments were built during that time, an increase of 153 per cent.
