An 806 route between Portarlington and Monasterevin is being introduced to the area.
A new bus service connecting Laois and Kildare is starting today.
Transport for Ireland Local Link is introducing the 806 route between Portarlington and Monasterevin.
The service is set to run seven times daily from Monday to Sunday, and will increase to nine runs from January 6th.
The new route is part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan developed by the National Transport Authority as part of the TFI Network.
TFI Local Link Laois Offaly General Manager, Frances Byrne says "This new service will provide much needed connectivity around the Portarlington town area along with connections to Irish Rail and Monasterevin."
