You can get the chance to go for a tour, and visit some of the specialist garda units.
A newly-refurbished garda station in the midlands is hosting a community open day this weekend.
Gardaí in Athlone will be offering tours of the new extension on Barrack Street tomorrow, starting off with a specially-designated sensory hour from 11am to 12pm.
Guests can also expect a visit to the Dog Unit and Armed Response Unit, with the event forming part of An Garda Síochána's Centenary Celebrations.
The upgrades, which cost over €8 million euro, were completed back in January.
