That's according to the Tánaiste, following rumours 600 IPAs were being moved into the county.
The government has no immediate plans to expand asylum seeker accommodation in Westmeath.
That's what Tánaiste Michael Martin is saying after reports indicated up to 600 International Protection Applicants were being moved from Dublin to Westmeath to be accommodated on sites in Mullingar and Athlone.
The State yesterday moved to quash those reports saying there was a misinterpretation of what was being discussed.
There are currently 100 IPA's staying in tents in Columb Barracks in Mullingar
