ODVSS Calls For Mandatory Risk Assessments Under Jennie’s Law

They want statutory footing for Operation Encompass.

Offaly Domestic Violence Support Service says risk assessments need to be made mandatory in order to protect victims. 

The Criminal Law Bill 2025, commonly referred to as Jennie’s Law, introduces provisions designed to enhance Ireland’s approach to addressing sexual offences.

The ODVSS is asking for measures including a statutory footing for Operation Encompass, to support children living in houses with domestic abuse.
