John Leahy feels one will be brought forward there after a call from the IRHA for councils to do so.
The Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council has no doubt a motion of no confidence in the Road Safety Authority will brought forward in the near future.
It comes after the Irish Road Haulage Association called on councillors across the country to vote no confidence against the RSA.
The local authority in Kerry has already tabled and passed such a motion.
185 people died on Ireland’s roads last year, leading the IRHA to demand a re-examination of the RSA’s role.
