Almost 1,500 Offaly homes and businesses can now connect to high-speed fibre broadband under the Government’s National Broadband Plan.
The premises in the Edenderry area can access the NBI network, bringing the number of buildings able to order fibre broadband across the County to over 11,500.
Works have also been completed in surrounding rural areas including Tyrrellspass and Tullamore to expand access to a reliable high-speed connectivity.
NBI spokesperson, Sandra Dinan (Die-nan) says the rollout will deliver minimum speeds of 500 megabits per second to connected buildings:
