Offaly Woman Opposing Removal Of Roadside Memorial Removals

Government is advising local authorities to limit them where the speed limit is 60 km/h.

An Offaly woman is voicing her concern over the possible removal of roadside memorials.

Guidance is being issued by the Department of Transport and TII to local authorities to restrict numbers allowed on roads, with a speed limit of over 60 kilometers per hour.

Rahan's Patricia Gibbons lost her husband James in 2008 after an accident on the N62 Roscrea to Templemore Road, and has a roadside memorial in place for him.

She says it would remove a source of comfort for the family:
