Aontú leader and Meath West TD Peadar Toibin is criticising the State's track record.
"There is nobody out there seeking these properties"
That's according to OPW Minister and Longford Westmeath TD Kevin 'Boxer' Moran, after Aontu leader Peadar Toibin's claim that 67 vacant properties owned by the state, are not being used efficiently for the benefit of taxpayers.
Aontú wants to know why the properties are not being utilised, when many others are being leased for use by the Office of Public Works.
Deputy Moran believes these properties were offered to local authorities and organisations, but no solid requests were received.
The OPW Minister says a number of factors come into play when considering how to make use of these vacant houses:
