The plans would see the delivery of a new bridge over the Silver River.
Plans have been submitted for a new solar farm in the midlands.
Offaly Solar Energy A-S Limited is seeking to develop an 87 hectare site on the Townlands of Lumcloon and Falsk in Gallen.
The plans include the provision of a Battery Energy Storage System consisting of 48 units and the construction of a bridge crossing the Silver River.
A series of solar panels reaching no more than three metres in height would also be included, as well as 19 transformers.
Two temporary compounds, reaching over 5,000 square metres in total, would be used during the construction phase.
The developer is seeking planning permission for 10 years, with an expected operational lifetime of 40 years afterwards.
The lands will then be returned to their original use, with the exception of the Silver Bridge crossing, which will be retained.
A decision from Offaly County Council is due by the 11th of October, and submissions to the planning application can be made until the 20th of September.
