There have been calls for the Chairperson to resign.
The board of Bord Bia is meeting today following a call for its chairperson to resign.
Sinn Fein say the Government appointment chair Larry Murrin should step down, on account of his company Dawn Farm Foods importing a small percentage of beef from Brazil last year.
The party's leader Mary Lou McDonald says the action undermines Bord Bia's role in promoting the Irish agricultural sector.
Those calls are being echoed by the Chair of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmer's Association, Westmeath's Sean McNamara.
He says the head of the semi-state company "should never be someone whose own business undercuts the very farmers Bord Bia is meant to support."
