A new survey has charted rising dental costs.
Routine dental treatments are now costing a minimum of €80 in the midlands.
A survey of dentists by the Irish Independent has found the lowest cost for a filling in the region is €80 in Laois and Offaly and €90 in Westmeath.
It also peaks in Laois at €120, with the highest available price in Offaly €100 and €105 in Westmeath.
Chief Executive of the Irish Dental Association, Fintan Hourihan says the cost of running a dental practice has increased for owners:
