Liam Gorman is hosting the 4 week class with all funds raised going to Accessible Counselling Tullamore.
'One technique that I could show, could save a life at some stage'.
That's according to Tullamore karate instructor Liam Gorman, who holds a 7th dan black belt in Shotokan Karate, ahead of his self defence class for ladies.
He is hosting a 4 week class starting at 8pm in the Tullamore martial arts centre, as he believes women are getting very weary about walking at night and alone and want to have some form of self protection.
All funds raised from the classes is going to Accessible Counselling Tullamore, a community-based counselling and psychotherapy service.
Mr. Gorman says the class is open to all women who want to learn some protection skills:
