Planning permission has been granted for conversion of the old Tullamore DEW visitor centre.
Shane Lowry's venture into the hospitality industry has received a boost.
Planning permission has been granted for conversion of the old Tullamore DEW visitor centre on Bury Quay into a new café, gastro pub and music venue.
Emante Limited is behind the project - a partnership between the Offaly golf star and businessman Alan Clancy, which acquired the iconic former warehouse back in November.
The planning approval from Offaly County Council comes with six conditions. However, the conditions are not available to view via the local authority's online planning portal.
The works, granted approval, will include internal alterations for the ground floor café, pub and gastro pub on all levels, kitchens and stores, reconfigured toilets and circulation areas, new external signage and all ancillary site works.
The land is owned by Navello Ventures Limited.
