Sinn Féin Proposes Bill To Streamline Shannon Flood Management

It involves having one body overseeing maintenance of the river.

A Sinn Féin bill to create a co-ordinated response to flooding along the Shannon has reached the Dáil.

Longford-Westmeath TD Sorca Clarke says there are 20 agencies are currently involved in the maintenance of the river.

She says they're proposing one body to oversee management and prevent such frequent flooding:
