The CEO of an Offaly domestic violence support service feels more specialised judges on the matter are needed in the court system.
She's backing a suggestion made by MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú after figures show the number of people imprisoned for breaching a domestic violence order are up by 69% since 2020.
Other reform measures suggested by her include a shelter in every county and a review of how sentences are issued.
