Lay members of the Catholic Church have been expressing their views on the future of the Church.
160 delegates from the 26 dioceses on the island of Ireland attended the Assembly in Athlone today, to listen to submissions from both lay people and religious.
Common themes emerged from around the country.

It comes ahead of a Universal Synod at the Vatican in August.
