Some restrictions have already been imposed in the midlands.
Irish Water does not anticipate extending measures imposed to restrict water supplies in 18 areas across the midlands and southeast.
The utility said the "vast majority" of its 750 water treatment plants are continuing to meet demand despite increased usage.
Since the middle of last week, it said there has been a noticeable increase in use in seaside and agricultural areas.

The utility recently had to bring in measures including tankering and night-time restrictions to curb water supplies in a number of areas, including The Swan in Laois.
But Mr. Cuddy says it's too early to make a call on an outdoor water ban:
