TUS Midlands is developing its ties with China by launching a new partnership with Foshan University.
It comes during Taoiseach Micheál Martin's State visit to the country.
TUS took part in the Transnational Education Event hosted by Education in Ireland and Enterprise Ireland in Beijing on Tuesday and signed a letter of intent to collaborate on establishing a joint institute with Foshan University.
Over 100 Chinese students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are currently attending TUS, while around 2,600 students in China are enrolled in modules from TUS programmes.
