Two people have been arrested after cannabis worth almost €100,000 was seized in Co Kildare.
An intelligence-led operation, as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime groups operating in the Kildare area, took place today and involved the search of a house in the Athy area.
A package which contained almost five kilos of suspected cannabis herb with an estimated value of €99,200 was seized by Customs officers.
Gardaí arrested a man and a woman at the scene and they're being questioned at Kildare Garda Station where they can be held for up to a week.
