Gardaí found the drugs during a search that was carried out in the Monksland area on Thursday.
1 kilogram of cocaine was found in a house.
Gardaí from the Westmeath Divisional Drugs Unit helped by local units and the Armed Support Unit made the discovery.
Two men in their 20s and 30s were arrested and were being questioned at Athlone Garda Station.
Both will appear before a special sitting of Mullingar District Court at 11 o'clock this morning, charged in connection with the seizure.
