A "one stop shop" should be provided by the Government to deal with thousands of refugees.
A "one stop shop" liaising with the Departments of Justice, Social Protection, Housing and Foreign Affairs should be provided by the government at all entry points to this jurisdiction to deal with thousands of refugees expected to arrive in Ireland in the coming months.
The call has been made by the Regional Group of Independent TDs, which includes Meath West Aontú TD Peadar Toibín and Portarlington's Cathal Berry, Kildare South TD.
They say an all of government response to the unfolding crisis is required.
Regional Group members also believe revitalising initiatives such as the ‘Ireland On Call’ utilised for the Covid-19 pandemic could provide additional skilled resources to assist with job seeking and accommodation refurbishment.
