A Westmeath garda who cycled 99 kilometres for charity says she's been bowled over by the support she's received.
Edel Dugdale from Delvin - but now working in Trim - stopped a man at a checkpoint last month and discovered he was going to bury his granddaughter who was born prematurely.
Their story inspired her to set up the 999 Challenge and cycle 99 kilometres through nine villages, to raise money for Féilecáin, a charity that supports those affected by stillbirths and neo-natal deaths.
€22,000 has been raised to date, but Edel says shes also delighted to have drawn attention to an important cause:
