A Laois Eurovision fan doesn't feel like Ireland has a good chance of moving on.
Wild Youth will take to the stage as Ireland's representative in the Eurovision Song Contest tonight.
They'll perform their song, 'We Are One,' in the first semi-final in Liverpool, and are 6th out of 15 on the running order.
Laois Eurovision fan Adrian Kavanagh doesn't like our chances of moving on, mainly due to the highly competitive field of participants.
He also says Ireland is likely to miss out on votes from countries who are typically good to us:
10 acts will proceed to the grand final in the Liverpool Arena.
Mickey Joe Harte, who represented Ireland in 2003, says this is a gruelling week for the performers:
The Irish group are up against the likes of Sweden, who are favourites to win the overall competition.
Sweden is represented by 2012 winner, Loreen, but Wild Youth are feeling positive about their chances:
When we rise, we rise like the sun ☀️🍀
