Over €50,000 has been raised to help with firefighter Patrick Berry's medical expenses.
The family of a midlands firefighter, seriously injured during a housefire this year, says they couldn't cope without the support they've received.
The gable end of a house fell on Patrick Berry while responding to a call in Mount Temple last October, leaving him with multiple broken bones and swelling on the brain.
Over €50,000 has been raised through a GoFundMe page to help with the Athlone man's substantial medical costs.
Patrick's partner Nicky Beaumont says while he's still in immense pain, he's delighted to now be home from hospital.
