The 34 year old returns 16 months after announcing his retirement.
John Heslin has reportedly made a dramatic comeback to the Westmeath panel ahead of Sunday’s Leinster Football Final.
The Irish Independent is reporting that the former talisman, who stepped away from inter-county football in January 2025 was involved in training last weekend and is currently training with the panel.
The 34 year old returns to the squad following the injury sustained by forward Luke Loughlin, who suffered a Grade 4 hamstring tear, which has ruled him out for the season.
Westmeath face Dublin in the provincial decider this Sunday from Croke Park, looking to win just their second Leinster title.
