It occurred in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a car was set on fire in Offaly overnight.
The incident occurred outside a house in the St. Cormac's Park area of Kilcormac at about 5 o'clock this morning.
The house was also damaged, but no injuries were reported.
However, gardaí are warning the incident could have been much more serious.
